"DON'T COME!" BECAUSE YOU NEVER WANT TO LEAVE!!! (Lucy Rovetto)
Helms-Buffet
Our "Little House" in Beiseförth...the heart of Germany!
Brunnen Strasse 39, 34323 Malsfeld, Germany
Our 43 year adventure (that is how long we have been married ) took us where we find ourselves now. Right in the heart ❤️ of Germany. Many of you remember that we moved 3 years ago from South Africa to the Gutshof. But due to the Corona pandemic we can no longer work and live here. This meant an end to one season and the start of a new adventure. We have looked and searched for a place these past 6 months in all directions and have come to the conclusion that our next step is not so far away from here. We have made a lot of friends over these years In this area through our Helms-Buffet dinners, get-togethers and house concerts we organized. Some of these friends helped us to find a place not so far from here (Beiseförth) where we can see our long held dream come into fulfillment. The house we found is almost 100 years old and in overall good condition. However we will need to do some painting and furnish the 11 rooms. But most important, we will need to install a good kitchen and all the different appliances we need In order to do all the Helms-Buffet dinners, cooking-classes, in-house “Happy Teapot Café‘s”, small Inspirational seminars, house concerts and wine-tastings. (We even have a “Wine-Cellar” ) We also have a small outdoor cafe area which will lend itself to small “Braai’s (South African Grill) and late summer evening get togethers. Many years ago, when we still lived in Canada, Anne-Marie came across this verse from the Bible which has accompanied us ever since. (In red letters) It is our desire to continue to give with what we believe is our gift to anyone who comes across our path and who is sent to our „Little House“. Will you consider helping us to bring flavour, light and life to the ❤️ of Germany !
„We are here to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God flavours of this earth. We are here to be light, bringing out the God colours in this world. We keep open house; we like to be be generous with our lives. Because as we open our homes and lives up to others, we will prompt people to open up amongst themselves, to God and to what truly matters in life, so that the hope and joy of living is restored.“
